Behind Silence

A Portrait Series on Emotional Concealment

"I created Behind Silence during a period where I became deeply aware of how much people hide while still appearing present to the world. These portraits are about the quiet spaces where identity, vulnerability, exhaustion, memory, and survival exist beneath what people choose to reveal. The torn paper represents fragile barriers. The closed eyes suggest surrender, withdrawal, and emotional fatigue. The heavy makeup covering the eyes acts like a mask, concealing emotion while simultaneously drawing attention to it."
